New Orleans (AP) — A couple in Florida who met in a gross anatomy class as an undergraduate student at Tulane University gave Tulane Medical College $ 5 million for a donated professorship.
Dr. Philip and Cheryl Leone are now retired pathologists and current members of the School of Medicine Board of Directors. Their donations support medical school professors who co-appoint at another school or unit.
The professor focuses on areas such as public health, immunology, parasitology, and anthropology. Leones lives in Naples, Florida and has worked in both academic and private practice.
